May. 24th, 2012 10:31 amRiku uses darkness, which has seeped into his senses to the extent he can "smell" darkness on other people. The more a person is corrupted by darkness (whether they be evil, or otherwise have a lot of dark emotions like rage or envy, etc.), the stronger their scent is.
It's pretty useful for distinguishing identities, even if people try to conceal who they are, or figuring out who is likely to be an enemy based on how much darkness they have. Most characters will carry at least some trace of darkness, even the incorruptibly good types; only Princesses of Heart like Kairi are completely free of darkness. Demons and similar such characters would have a much stronger scent of darkness than humans.
This is where you come in! I'm going to assume unless told otherwise that your character has an unremarkable amount of darkness, to avoid infomodding. But if your character does have any noteworthy amount -- or lack of -- the stuff, then comment here. Thanks!
